Note according to battery law

Since our shipments may contain batteries and accumulators, we are obliged under the Battery Act (BattG) to point out the following to you:

Batteries and accumulators may not be disposed of with household waste; you are legally obliged to return used batteries and accumulators. Used batteries can contain harmful substances that, if not stored or disposed of properly, can harm the environment or your health. Batteries also contain important raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel and can be recycled.

Where to put used batteries?

After use, you can either send the batteries back to us or return them free of charge in the immediate vicinity (e.g. in stores or at municipal collection points). The sale in sales outlets is limited to quantities usual for end users and to those used batteries that the distributor carries or has carried in its range as new batteries.

Batteries received from us can also be returned to us with sufficient postage after use:

Batteries subject to disposal

The symbol with the crossed out garbage can means that you must not dispose of batteries and accumulators in household waste. Under this symbol you will also find the following symbols with the following meaning:

  • Pb = Battery contains lead
  • Cd = battery contains cadmium
  • Hg = Battery contains mercury
